Recipe ingredients:

  • Ghee/Clarified butter: 3 tbsp
  • Milk: 1.5 ltrs
  • Khoya: 1 tbsp
  • Sugar: 3/4 Cup
  • Cardamom Powder: 1 tsp
  • Carrot: 1 Kg
  • Cashew Nuts: 2 tbsp
  • Raisin: 2 tbsp

Step by Step Recipe

How to make Gajar ka halwa:

  1. Peel the carrots.

  2. Grate the carrots and discard the core yellow part.

  3. In a pan add Ghee 1 tbsp.

  4. Add grated carrots and stir well.

  5. Add milk and keep stirring till it starts boiling.

  6. Reduce the flame and let it simmer till it reduces to 1/3rd.

  7. Add Sugar, Cashew halves, Cardomom powder and Raisins.

  8. Add Khoya and stir well.

  9. Add Ghee and stir well.

  10. Garnish with Nuts and Serve Hot with dry fruit Ice-Cream
