Step by Step Recipe

Knead the Dough:

  1. Add maida, coarse black pepper, salt, curd and oil to a bowl.

  2. Mix well. Use water as required to make soft dough.

  3. Knead well.

  4. Apply oil and cover and keep the dough aside for 30 mins.

Boil the vegetables:

  1. Add sufficient water, some salt and 1 tbsp cooking oil to a wok.

  2. Add green peas and chopped green beans and boil for 10 mins.

  3. Add sliced potatoes and boil again.

  4. Add half packet of maggi noodles and boil till the vegetables and noodles are cooked.

  5. Drain excess water and let the vegetables cool.

Make the stuffing:

  1. Add oil to a wok.

  2. Add onions, capsicum, carrot, cabbage and some salt and stir fry.

  3. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, amchoor powder and garam masala and mix well.

  4. Add the boiled vegetables and mix well.

Make the roti:

  1. Make balls of dough and roll it in wheat flour.

  2. Flatten a bit and roll it on a rolling pin.

  3. Dust with wheat flour and roll it to make a big roti.

  4. Roast the roti on a hot taw.

  5. Apply oil and roast both sides evenly.

Make the frankie:

  1. Apply coriander chutney on the cooked roti.

  2. Apply mayonnaise.

  3. Place the cooked vegetable stuffing on the roti.

  4. Add the raw salad and grate some cheese.

  5. Roll the roti to make a frankie roll.

Vegetable Frankie is ready, serve it hot with Ketchup
