Recipe ingredients:

  • Salt: As per taste
  • Oil: For Frying
  • Turmeric: 1/2 tsp
  • Water: 500 ml
  • Ginger: 1 tsp Chopped
  • Cumin Seeds (Jeera): 1 tsp
  • Red Chilly Powder: 2 tsp
  • Onion: 1/2 Cup Sliced
  • Dried Red Chilli Whole: 1 No
  • Asafoetida: 1 Pinch
  • Gram Flour: 1/3 cup
  • Curd: 2 Cups
  • Methi Seeds: 1 tsp

How to Prepare Onion Pakoda:



  1. In a bowl mix Sliced Onions, Chopped Green Chillis, Besan, Salt and Red chilli powder.


  2. Add water and mix well.


  3. Heat oil and pour in a spoonful of batter at a time.


  4. Deep fry on low flame for few mins.



How to Prepare Plain Pakoda:



  1. In a bowl Besan, Salt and Red chilli powder.


  2. Add water and mix well.




  3. Heat oil and pour in a spoonful of batter at a time.


  4. Deep fry on low flame for few mins.



How to Prepare Kadhi:



  1. In a bowl add sour Curd, Turmeric powder, salt and besan.


  2. Mix well till all the lumps get dissolved.


  3. In a pan add oil, Whole red chilli, crushed fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, Crushed coriander seeds, Asafoetida and mix well.


  4. Add chopped ginger, Onion and Sir well.


  5. Add Kadhi batter and 500ml of water. Keep stirring till it boils.


  6. Simmer for 10-15 mins Add pakodas and stir well.


  7. In a tadka pan take hot oil and add 1 tsp of red chilli powder to it.


  8. Mix well and pour it on kadhi.


  9. Serve it with hot Rice.
